The writings on the wall – more street art from Berlin

Our third time in Berlin, so time for more street art.

Our first stop was Chausseestraße and the “I❤️Berlin” bear. It’s a little tricky to find as it’s tucked away off the street in the courtyard of the Hotel Berlin Mitte. This was near where we stayed so we walked to it, but the nearest U-Bahn stop is the Naturkundemuseum on the U6 line.

Next stop was Warschauer Straße, which you can get to on either the U1 and U3 lines. Here we found the amazing bear mural by Arsek & Erase. This was just epic and this time I fit on the photo 😃

Now over to Köpenicker Straße (on the U8 line) and we were here to see “Engeika” by Fin DAC. Found in a secluded courtyard, the full length geisha in her sumptuous orange robe is still hard to miss. This was Fin DAC’s first ever large mural in Berlin and what a stunner 🖤

Next on the list was Bülowstraße, where there is a huge array of art on one side of the street between Kurfürstenstraße and Kleistpark U-Bahn stations on the U7 line. It’s also the home of Urban Nation, the museum for urban contemporary art. So much love for this place, it’s simply the best and definitely one of my favourite places in the world. A quick shout to Bülow Kneipe, where we always stop for a few pints… described as “a cozy, traditional German pub drawing a convivial, diverse clientele for beer and schnapps”. Definitely diverse, it’s fair to say!

Our final mention is Kreuzberg. This piece was painted by Berlin duo Herakut as part of 2018’s Berlin Mural Festival and located on Luckauer Straße. My home might be no place but we can share it if you like ❤️
