The Hairy Lemon, the zest pub in Dublin

It was our last few hours in Dublin, so after lots of walking around it was time to settle down for a few pints and we chose The Hairy Lemon, a quirky pub and restaurant, located a short stroll from Temple Bar, in the heart of Dublin city centre, just off Grafton Street. The blockbuster film, “The Commitments” lives on in the Hairy Lemon, where many scenes were filmed using the snug and bar from the pub. With years worth of memorabilia on the walls, The Hairy Lemon has become one of Dublin’s trendiest pubs.

The pub apparently serves the “best pint of Guinness in Dublin”, but we’d had one too many by then and were drinking the other tipple of choice in Ireland, Bulmers Irish Cider. It is more commonly known back home as Magner’s Irish Cider, after the founder of the company and is made in Clonmel, County Tipperary. Whilst we slowly drank our last few pints on the Emerald Isle, we sat in the snug, looking our on to the street people watching. Dublin, we’ve enjoyed the craic, sláinte! 🍻☘️
