Not just street’s of shame in Hamburg

As the title says, it’s not just street’s of shame in Hamburg, it’s also streets of art. Maybe it was a coincidence that most of the street art we found was just off the Reeperbahn, which is a street and entertainment district in Hamburg’s St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg’s nightlife and also the city’s major red-light district. I think it’s fair to say, we really only scratched the surface with what we found.

Street art is a pretty big thing in Hamburg and there are all sorts of styles, but we did find lots of good sticker art (some of which was very naughty) in particular. You can find the “Street Galleries” all over the city, but mainly in St. Pauli, Schanze and Altona. There are lots of walking tours you can find online, which take you to all the best street art spots in the city. You can of course do your own research and simply keep your eyes open whilst you explore and I’m sure you’ll stumble across lots of interesting stuff.
