Dad surprised Mum and took her for a curry tonight, we’re all dying from food overdose right now 😂😂😂
Mum had only been to one Indian restaurant since she’d been in the UK, but Dad said that wasn’t a proper curry house and it was about time she had the real experience. The New Shalimar Restaurant is arguably the best curry house in Macclesfield and we were not left disappointed, we just left with our stomach’s absolutely full to the brim!
Of course, we had poppadoms and chutneys first, then a Banquet Starter (for 2) which had all the usual tasty Indian treats including Sheek Kebab, Chicken Wings, Onion Bhaji, Veggie Samosas and Chicken Tikka. For main, we had Chicken Tikka Bhuna and Prawn Dhansak and shared Vegetable Rice and Peshwari Naan. It was beary beary beary tasty and all washed down with a few ice cold Cobra beers. You can’t not drink Cobra in a curry house, right!
All in all, it was lovely food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A very nice place indeed! We would definitely recommend and will be going again soon 👍👍👍
