Bryn’s Music Selection // Powstanie Warszawskie

In today’s #brynsmusicselection I want to focus on an album (its a concept album) not a band. It is a very important record and probably the best ever released in Poland.

Powstanie Warszawskie (Polish for “Warsaw Uprising”) is the second studio album released in March 2005 by Polish band Lao Che. It consists of 10 songs illustrating the course of 1944 uprising in Warsaw, Poland. The album received many prestigious nominations and awards. Lao Che are a Polish rock band formed in 1999 in Płock by former members of the band Koli. Lao Che’s musical genre is a crossover of various styles such as ska, ambient, and folk.
