Best of the brunch at West Corner NQ, Manchester

Situated on Hilton Street, on the edge of Stevenson Square in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, West Corner NQ is now our go to place for breakfast when we stay over in Manchester. We found it one weekend morning, when it was too early to go to our usual breakfast place. Well we are so glad we found it!

It’s much more than somewhere to grab breakfast, it’s an all-day American diner, with plenty of influence from New York. The Northern Quarter has apparently doubled for New York in movies a few times over the years, so this really isn’t out of place here. There’s a pleasantly hip vibe and decent looking menu with something for everyone. I’m sure we’ll go back to try a lunch or dinner at some point, but today it was a breakfast/brunch visit. We were lucky that we got a table straight away, but it was soon really busy and they were having to turn people away.

Drinks first… Dad had a flat white, Mum had a tea (no milk!), both had a freshly squeezed orange juice that had more zing than a group of wise guys in Little Italy! Food next and Dad had a full English (not called that on the menu), which had all the usual ingredients but was top top quality and really fresh tasting. Mum had the banana and chocolate waffles (see below) which were super super delicious!

So our breakfast today was probably the best breakfast I have ever been served, our waitress was so pleasant as well. Top marks West Corner NQ, until next time.
