Band of Horses at Albert Hall, Manchester

I was a very very excited little bear 🐻

Indie country-rockers Band of Horses brought their beards, checked shirts and twanging guitars to Albert Hall this Thursday night. “Manchester, how you doin’ y’all?”, “I’m a very happy bear now, thank you” 😃

I’m not sure a band could sound any more American, but it’s uncomplicated indie country-rock that just hits the spot, so it’s easy to understand why they have such a loyal following. Tonight saw them play Manchester’s Albert Hall and they build their set with the relaxed start of Infinite Arms, gradually picking up the pace to highlights like Throw My Mess and Compliments. Their set ends with the anthem The Funeral, which has understandably become the soundtrack to dozens of movies and adverts. Oh wait, they’re back out for a three song encore! What a show, a hugely likeable performance, they played 21 songs in total and I’m leaving a big fan of this band 🎸👍
