Are you happy to sashimi at Sakushi Japanese Restaurant, Sheffield

Sakushi Japanese Restaurant is an amazing little gem of a restaurant in Sheffield city centre. They have a wide variety of sushi amongst other traditional Japanese dishes. Established in 2007, they are one of Sheffield most established restaurants and they have won numerous awards for both their restaurant and delivery service, including best Japanese takeaway in the UK. We’d done our research beforehand and picked this out as the standout option for Japanese cuisine.

The restaurant has booths and conveyor belt sushi bar stools, but we chose to sit at a normal table and order off the menu, which you can see below. To get started, we had Miso soup, Duck Gyoza (dumplings) and Chilli Beef steak , then next a mixed sushi platter. They say sharing is caring and being the greedy bunch we are, we went for the 30 piece Shobu Selection, which included Nigiri, Maki and Uramaki rolls, plus an Onigiri and Edamame beans.

All this got washed down with a pint of Sapporo (Dad), Aloe Vera drink (Mum) and Japanese Plum Wine for them both. Everything we had was so tasty, top marks all round and definitely worth a visit if you’re in town. You could easily go back time and time again and try something different each time. Hmmm, good plan… especially if you’re a sushi addict like Mum!
