I unveil The Vale Inn

Hidden away in the side streets of Bollington, The Vale Inn is the flagship pub of Bollington Brewery. An equally nice place if you’re sat in front of a roaring fire in Winter with a drink and something warming to eat, or in Summer sat outside in the beer garden, watching the cricket on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This is the humans favourite pub in Bollington.

If you’re a keen walker, The Vale Inn is just off the Middlewood Way, an 11 mile (16km), traffic-free greenway, that follows the line of the former Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway through picturesque Cheshire countryside and between historic mill towns. The pub offers a welcome stop off for a refreshing pint of the brewery’s own beers – Oat Mill Stout is my Dad’s favourite – or why not try the Moravka, a Czech style lager brewed near Buxton!

If you’re in Bollington, it’s definitely worth dropping in. The kitchen is open for lunch (12pm – 2.30pm) and dinner (5pm – 9pm) on weekdays, with extended hours on a weekend. The menu is full of classic dishes, but we recommend the pies from The Great North Pie Company, served hot with chips or mash, garden or mushy peas. Delicious!

Bollington Brewery also has The Park Tavern in Macclesfield and The Cask Tavern in Poynton, both located on Park Lane in their respective towns!
